Biography

Darcy Cahill brings a wealth of playing experience to the Mavericks coaching staff, having skated professionally across three continents over a career spanning nearly two decades. A product of the Ontario Hockey League, Darcy suited up for five OHL franchises — including the North Bay Centennials, Kingston Canadians, Cornwall Royals, and Sudbury Wolves — before embarking on a professional journey that took him from the ECHL's Columbus Chill to leagues in England, Scotland, and Germany. A prolific offensive forward, Darcy was a consistent point producer at every stop, highlighted by a remarkable 236-point season with Lee Valley Lions in the British first division. His path through the game also included stops in the Central Hockey League with the Nashville Nighthawks and San Antonio Iguanas, as well as time in the Western Professional Hockey League. Darcy now brings that wealth of experience and a true love of the game to the Columbus Mavericks as an Assistant Coach.
