Brand Standards

This guide details our brand and exactly how it should be applied. In order to maintain the integrity of our brand, it is vital that these guidelines be followed across all applications.

Logo

Primary Logo

This is the Mavericks' primary logo lockup. This is the version of the team logo that should be used in all circumstances not otherwise outlined on this page.

Note: The Trademark (TM) symbol should always be applied unless otherwise directed. Furthermore, the TM symbol should be applied in a color that contrasts the background color. For example, if the logo is placed on a dark background, the version with the white TM symbol should be used.

Secondary Logos

The Columbus Mavericks maintain a family of secondary marks designed to support the brand across a wide range of applications and production environments. While the Primary logo serves as the lead brand identifier, these marks provide flexible, purpose-built alternatives that ensure the Mavericks identity remains strong and consistent whether it appears on a jersey crest, a helmet decal, an embroidered patch, or a single-color production context.

Each secondary mark has been crafted to complement the primary logo while serving its own distinct role within the brand system — and should always be used in accordance with the guidelines outlined for each individual mark.

Crest Logo

The Crest logo is a simplified version of the primary logo which has removed the text, allowing it to be used in cases where the finer details of the text may get lost. This logo should be used sparingly for uniform elements such as the jersey crest or thigh patch.

1-Color Crest Logo

The 1-color crest logo is a further simplified version of the Crest logo, reducing the mark to a single color outline. This logo should be used sparingly in applications where a full-color mark is not possible, such as embroidery, screen printing, or single-color production environments.

Mavs Script Logo

The Mavs Script logo is a stylized wordmark used exclusively on the third/alternate jersey. The flowing script lettering offers an energetic counterpart to the structured boldness of the primary logo, giving the team a distinct visual identity for alternate uniform applications.

Star & Stripes Logo

The Star & Stripes insignia is a secondary mark that is used primarily for accent purposes on team uniform elements such as the shoulder patch and helmet decals. It should be used sparingly outside of the uniform as it is not as identifiable as the primary logo.

Primary Palette

The primary palette consists of three main colors: Aviator Navy, Top Gun Green, and Carrier Gray. The color specifications below should be referenced when creating materials for the brand. Use PANTONE® colors for print when possible. If PANTONE® colors are not available, use the CMYK process. RGB and Hex codes should only be used for digital applications.

It is important to note that such factors as paper stock and method of printing effect the appearance of printed colors. For that reason, the appropriate version should be used for coated (PMS-C) or uncoated (PMS-U) applications.
