Columbus Mavericks Announce 2026 Charity Golf Outing Benefiting the Columbus Mavericks Community Foundation

LEWIS CENTER, Ohio — The Columbus Mavericks are trading hockey sticks for golf clubs this summer. The organization has announced the 2026 Mavericks Charity Golf Outing, scheduled for Monday, July 13, 2026, at Glenross Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is open to alumni, current and prospective players, hockey families, sponsors, and supporters of the program.

All proceeds from the outing will benefit the Columbus Mavericks organization and the Columbus Mavericks Community Foundation, with funds directed toward player development, community outreach, and the continued growth of ice hockey in Central Ohio.

"This event is about more than a round of golf," said Mavericks President, Joey Recktenwald.

"It's a chance for the people who make this program what it is — players past and present, families, sponsors, and fans — to come together, have a great time, and invest in the central Ohio hockey community."

The timing of the outing is no coincidence. Scheduled the day after the Mavericks' Main Tryout Camp, the golf outing offers an organic opportunity for the Mavericks hockey community to extend their weekend together at a venue just a short drive from OhioHealth Chiller North in Lewis Center, the team's home ice.

Participants can register individually or as a group, with a range of ticket options available to fit different budgets and party sizes:

• Add-On: Hole Sponsorship — $400 | A branded sign featuring your company logo on a tee box.

• Lunch Buffet Only — $50 | Not a golfer? Join the fun for lunch, two drinks, and participation in the silent auction.

The post-round lunch buffet menu features Chicken Marsala, Italian Sausage & Peppers, Penne Rigate with Marinara Bake, Garden Salad, Green Beans with Blistered Tomatoes, Baked Focaccia, and Assorted Desserts.
