Bio
Alexander Brown
Brown has been a steady presence for the Columbus Mavericks, now skating in his third season with the club and second full campaign in the USPHL Premier. The Erie, Pennsylvania native developed through the Cathedral Prep high school program before spending time with the University of Cincinnati’s ACHA squad, where he added valuable experience at the collegiate club level.
Joining the Mavericks midway through the 2023–24 season, Brown made an immediate impact, posting 7 points in 8 regular-season games and adding 2 goals in the playoffs. He carried that momentum into 2024–25, where the 6-foot, 185-pound forward has been a reliable contributor, tallying 35 points (12 goals, 23 assists) in 43 games while providing a balanced mix of scoring touch and playmaking ability.
Coaches note Brown’s ability to adapt to different game situations, whether driving the offense, working along the boards, or logging key shifts in the defensive zone. His physical style, combined with good vision and hockey sense, makes him an asset in all three zones.
With his continued growth and production, Brown has become a trusted veteran presence for Columbus, offering both consistency on the ice and leadership in the locker room as the Mavericks push for postseason success.
