Joe Gillespie
CEO & Co-Owner
Originally from Port Clinton, Ohio, Joe has been a long-time advocate of youth hockey in Central Ohio. With over 20 years of coaching and team management experience at the youth and high school levels, Joe has played an integral part in the development of dozens of local hockey players. Joe has most recently spent the last 2 years as the President & Program Director of the Hilliard Hockey Club of the OSHL.
Away from the Mavericks, Joe owns & operates Fleetworks Limited, a local logistics company, and resides in Hilliard, OH with his two sons.

Joey Recktenwald
President & Co-Owner
Originally hailing from Northeast Ohio, Joey has spent most of his life in and around ice rinks. He grew up playing youth hockey in Athens, OH followed by seasons with the Cleveland Americans and Gilmour, before playing four seasons of varsity high school hockey with the Kenston Bombers. Following graduation, Joey moved east to play junior hockey with the Elmira Jr. Jackals of the Empire Hockey League. He returned to Ohio where he spent his final junior season with the Columbus Jr. B Blue Jackets of the Central States Hockey League. After semi-pro stints with Findlay Freedom of the NEHL and the Wooster Warriors of the MAHL, Joey accepted the Varsity Head Coach position with the Northeast Storm of the OSHL. Following his stint with the Storm, Joey spent 7 years as an assistant coach of the Hilliard Wildcats of the OSHL.
Away from the Mavericks, Joey operates Woodys Wing House and resides in Dublin, OH with his wife, Katey and son, JT.

Ben Peach
Marketing Director
Ben is responsible for all things marketing for the Mavericks, including the team's website and social media, game day experience, and sponsorships. Ben's ties to the history of Columbus junior hockey go back to childhood. As a Columbus, OH native, Ben grew up playing youth hockey in the CAHA house and travel system, before spending a season with the Athens Bobcats. Following high school hockey, he spent three years playing junior hockey with the Columbus Stars and subsequently Columbus Jr. B Blue Jackets in the Central States Hockey League.
Away from the Mavericks, Ben owns and operates Amador Creative, a creative branding agency, and resides in Virginia Beach, VA with his wife, Steffanie and children, TJ and Riley.

Holly Frank
Billeting Coordinator
Holly works to recruit, match and support Central Ohio host families and our rookie or out-of-town Mavericks’ players.
Holly grew up a hockey fan, played intramural hockey and took hockey classes in college to fulfill physical education credits (coincidentally, taught by Bill Davidge, retired Columbus Blue Jackets announcer and former Miami University men’s hockey coach).
Away from the rink, Holly is an HR performance improvement consultant and owns BlueSkyIdea@1420 a creative retreat and meeting space. She is a travel hockey mom and “Billet Mom.” She and her husband have two grown daughters, one son and two crazy dogs. They live in Delaware.
