Following a strong showing at the USPHL Detroit Showcase this past weekend, veteran defenseman, Brian Odstrchel, was named one of the USPHL Great Lakes division Players of the Week. Odstrchel has gotten off to a prosperous start to his third season in the USPHL and first with the Mavs, tallying 8 points in 12 games, 6 of which (3 goals / 3 assists) came in last weekend's 4-game showcase. In addition to putting points on the board, Odstrchel also currently leads the team in blocked shots at 20.
