The Mavs didn’t have much time to reflect on the loss as they were back in action for their second game of the day just a few hours later against the Decatur Blaze. And with their spirits not damped by the close loss earlier in the afternoon, the team bounced back strong to tally their second victory of the weekend by a score of 5-1. The Mavs would take an early first period lead with back-to-back goals by Ethan Bishara, assisted by Jaxson Gillespie, and Carson Johnston, assisted by newcomer, Ryan Lempicki.
