LEWIS CENTER, OH - The Mavericks faced off against inter-divisional rivals, the Fort Wayne Spacemen last night in the first of three meetings this season. After trading blows throughout a physical game, the Mavericks came out victorious by a final score of 4-3.

The Spacemen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period. After a scoreless second period, the Mavs got on the scoreboard with a goal by Captain, Graham Wood at the 14:46 mark, assisted by JW Wilburn. The Mavs would then tie the game up just one minute later with a goal by Tryston Harrell, assisted by Jack Hamilton and Drew Beatty. The Spacemen would once again pull ahead and take a 3-2 lead into the closing minutes of the game. As the final seconds ticked down, the Mavericks' Tryston Harrell would tie the game up in dramatic fashion with just one second remaining with an assist from Brandon Kididis, sending the game into Overtime.

As the bonus hockey commenced, the Mavs' Jack Hamilton wasted little time securing the victory with a goal at the 1:09 mark in the OT period with an assist from Graham Wood.
