Mavs Fall to Jets
In their third matchup Saturday night, the Mavs were defeated by the Jets to set the record
between the teams at 0-3.
The Mavericks were able to successfully fend off the Jets for the first ten minutes of the game,
but after the Jets got their first goal past Michigander goalie Brendan Cobb at 10:07 into the first
period, they quickly added another three goals to the board before the end of the period.
After the first intermission, the Mavs were able to keep the puck out of the net for seventeen
minutes before the Jets added another two goals for a score of 6-0. The Jets added their last goal
with 25 seconds left on the clock, for a final score of 7-0.
In his first game in the net for the Mavs, the 20 year old Cobb saved 39 out of 46 shots for a .848
The Mavs return to Lewis Center this weekend for games against the Buffalo Stampede on
Friday, November 11 at 8:10 p.m. and Saturday, November 12 at 5:30 p.m.
