Lempicki Commits to Oswego State

As the month of May draws to a close, yet another veteran Maverick has made his college plans official, as veteran defenseman, Ryan Lempicki, has committed to playing ACHA Division 1 hockey for Oswego State beginning in the 2022-23 season. Lempicki joins fellow Maverick, Bailey Doust, who committed to Oswego State earlier this spring.

The Auburn, MA native joined the Mavericks roster early in the season after starting the year off with the Boston Jr. Rangers of the EHL. His time with the Mavericks rounded out his fourth season of junior hockey, in which he made stops in both the EHL (Boston Jr. Rangers) and USPHL (Islanders Hockey Club and Columbus Mavericks). Lempicki was a reliable and physical defenseman for the Mavericks, tallying 8 goals and 15 assists for 23 points in 40 regular season and playoff games.

Mavericks Head Coach & GM, Nate Handrahan commented on the value that Lempicki will bring to the Lakers; "We are very excited for Ryan to take the next step in his hockey career. He is a talented guy who has a little mean streak in him. We were lucky to have him in Columbus and Oswego will benefit from his arrival!"

The State University of New York at Oswego, located in north central New York on the shores of Lake Ontario, competes at the ACHA Division 1 level and are members of the NECHL conference.
