Mavericks Head Coach & General Manager, Nate Handrahan, announced Sunday afternoon, that forward, Jack Bortle, has signed on with the Mavericks for the 2020-21 season. The Newark, OH native is the first player to join the Mavericks from a Newark Generals program that has seen great success in recent years under the leadership of recently hired Mavericks' Head Coach and GM, Nate Handrahan. As alternate captain during his Senior season, Bortle provided leadership to the Generals in addition to offensive firepower, as he led the Generals in scoring with 21 goals and 12 assists in just 18 games. Congratulations Jack and welcome to the Mavericks!
