Bryce Kolpien finishes his season with the Mavericks as the 20-year-old with the most goals, assists, and points.
Originally from Corning, New York, Kolpien began his junior career in nearby Elmira, where he played one season with the Elmira Jr. Soaring Eagles of the NA3HL in 2019-20 before beginning his USPHL career with the Elmira Junior Enforcers of the Mid-Atlantic Division in 2020-21. He spent 2021-22 with the Hershey Cubs before signing with the Mavericks in July 2022.
Across 41 games this season, Kolpien scored 9 goals and 12 assists. The right wing helped the Mavs start the season off strong with a 5-0 win in Buffalo in the first game of the season on September 16, where he racked up a goal and two assists.
On November 23, 2022, Kolpien was named USPHL Great Lakes Division Player of the Week, following a strong performance at the Detroit Showcase, where he earned two goals and an assist in the 3-2 finish against the Battle Creek Kernels, and a goal and an assist against the Motor City Gamblers.
This fall, Kolpien plans to attend college to study finance or business administration/management and play ACHA Division 1 hockey.
“[My favorite part of being on this team was] spending time with this group of guys everyday on and off the ice,” Kolpien said. “I am honored to have met and played with the guys on this team for my final year of juniors.”
