NATIONAL COLLEGIATE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (NCDC)
The National Collegiate Development Conference is the highest level of Junior A hockey within the USPHL. This 13-team tuition-free tier II Junior A hockey league is entirely located in the Northeastern United States. The league and all of its teams are fully united and dedicated to the mission of player development and advancement to college hockey.
The NCDC places an emphasis on moving players on to future college hockey opportunities. The league is considered one of the best routes to college hockey, and has had over 140 players commit to Division I and Division III NCAA teams during the 2019-2020 season alone.
THE NEW HAMPSHIRE JR MONARCHS
The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs are the NCDC affiliate of the Columbus Mavericks. During the Mavericks' inaugural season, three players were called up to skate with the Junior Monarchs for a week and compete for an in-game roster spot, and the Mavericks captain, was extended an NCDC tender for the 2020-2021 season. The two organizations work closely together to create a pipeline of players and advancement opportunities, including call-ups, scouting, and off-season camps. The Mavericks will be hosting an NCDC Tryout Camp for the Junior Monarchs this coming summer for the 2020-2021 season.
