Columbus is the state capital and the most populous city in the state of Ohio. With a population of 892,533, Columbus is the 14th largest city in the United States and one of the fastest growing large cities in the nation. Columbus is the second-most populous city in the Midwest, after Chicago, Illinois.
Columbus is home to a number of colleges and universities, including Ohio State University, Capital University, Otterbein University, Ohio Dominican University, Columbus College of Art & Design, and many more. Furthermore, Columbus is home to the headquarters of a number of large national companies, including Nationwide Insurance, Wendys, Chipotle, the Limited Brands (Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Bath & Body Works, etc.), Huntington Bank, Worthington Industries, Scotts Miracle-Gro, NetJets, and Cardinal Health, to name just a few.
